The following is an outline of forthcoming performances/events where you can watch me perform in the remainder of 2025...
23rd September: In collaboration with Opalescent O'Coinn at The Peer Hat, Manchester. 27th September: The UK debut of my performance 'Urolagnia' at Contact Manchester as part of Emergency 25. 7th - 16th October: I will be participating in Ron Athey's 'Darkness Visible II' workshop and mentoring program in Athens that will culminate in the presentation of both a new performance work. 25th October: I will be presenting an as yet untitled new performance at Club Love in Bristol. 31st October: I will be presenting [TENDER] at Studio Acephale, in Berlin as part of a program curated by Vida Dod. 7th November: I will be presenting 'The Dead Pig of Our Democracy' with Vex Vada at Torture Garden, London. This blog was initially conceived and set up to be a more regular updated journal. Alas, this year has run away from me and here we are nearly 9 months in to the year and I'm providing an update!
Over the course of the year I have created a new performance for camera work with the photographer Murat Ozkasim and the rigger Payas le Furieux, presented new performances in Brussels and London and started new collaborations with Mistress Syn Ariad and Vex Vada. I have also been invited to take up a studio place in Abingdon Studios and Project Space (a Queer led studio and exhibition complex in the heart of Blackpool). Still to come is a further 6 performances and new performance for camera works! :DENTATA: When Icarus flew to close to the sun, his wax and feather wings melted, sending him plummeting to his untimely demise - so, in essence, the candle made of wax and feathers, becomes a symbol of folly, futility and the passing of time, the inevitable march towards oblivion. The apple can be perceived as the choice presented for man of vice or virtue and ultimately the freedom that the choice brings… However mankind can never be truly free, as they are tethered to their base instincts. In this case, for sustenance - we must eat to stay alive, when we don’t eat, we starve and we die. So therefore the apple too, can be perceived as a symbol of futility, as even if we consume we die (there is no cheating death). This picture in it’s whole (of the candle and the apple) is a paradigm - you are damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t… So forwards, to damnation we go! Sanguis et Caca - Blood & Shit Musings on life, death & the matter in-between, this blog will serve as an online sketchbook, notepad & photo journal, that will provide more insight into the works that I make & develop both in terms of rationale & works-in-progress & experiments, in the forthcoming year. |
