Canavan graduated from University with a degree in Fine Art in 2004, since then they have been drawing, painting and creating sculptures in an often bold and graphical style.
​Since early 2024 Canavan has been making mixed media works.

HERETIC

Installed at Abingdon Studios & Project Space for Canavan's first major solo show which opened on 1st November 2024, 'HERETIC' is a mixed media work comprising of wood, metal, gloss paint & plastic. This work stems from Canavan's seminal performance work 'Urolagnia' & his ongoing struggles with mental health.
Guttural, twisted & sleek, 'HERETIC' basks in the abject horror of it's inception..
